Welcome to Thorpe Bay Angling Association
We were established in 1970 as a sea angling club in Thorpe Bay, Southend-on-Sea, Essex, England.
Our activities cover Beach, Pier and Boat angling matches, mainly in Essex, Kent and Suffolk.
Successful participant members accumulate points on a match by match basis towards trophies presented annually.
The club is a member of The Angling Trust .
We may also organise Southend Beach and Southend Pier Open competitions.

Regular meetings of members are held on the first Wednesday of each month - commencing at 7.30pm at Chesters Bar (formerly TEAC social club), 111 Eastern Esplanade, Southend on Sea, SS1 2YP - to discuss completed matches and results, upcoming matches and other club business. The AGM is held in January each year. NEXT AGM - Wednesday 8 January 2025, 7.30pm.

We are in possession of a portable Defibrillator, supplied by https://www.finishlinefund.org/ In case of emergency, this should be available at all of matches & meetings.
